The functionality of the GRDE Headlamp is superb. It may not be at the top of the list in terms of the amount of functions, but for the best bang for your buck, this is a good overall headlamp. Firstly, an interesting feature that I have not noticed on too many headlamps is that the light is zoomable. This way you can really focus in on something that you are trying to look at out in the wilderness. The head is fully adjustable to 90 degrees so you can point the light in a direction that is suitable for you. The GRDE Headlamp has 3 modes that we will describe in more detail in the next section. Lastly, the GRDE headlamp also includes a safety light which is crucial for runners, joggers and even campers and hikers. The safety light you want to make sure is visible from the rear.

Brightness

Our other reviews typically boast of the super bright 5000 lumen capacity. This one comes in at just 1800 lumens, but only has one bulb. The GRDE Headlamp doesn’t have the multiple bulbs as you would see on the InnoGear T756 or the Boruit RJ 3000. Don’t fret though, 1800 lumens is typically more than enough for your outdoor headlamp activities.

The GRDE Headlamp is a very comfortable headlamp. The headlamp has a headband strap that is fully adjustable as well as a cross strap across the top of your head that you can adjust as well. The strap is made out of material and the battery box is made of rubber so it will sit snugly against the back of your head. The headlamp is made out of an aluminum alloy so it will be generally light weight and not in your way. There is only one light on this one so it tends to be less bulky than some of the other headlamps on the market. Lastly, the cross strap at the top prevents the lamp from sliding down your head while you are doing your activity.

The GRDE Headlamp is not light on features. Even though it only has the one main LED, the feature set has not been compromised. One of the most interesting features is the zoom function. Being zoomable, you can focus in on a specific target. The headlamp also has a 90 degree rotatable head and comes with rechargeable batteries. Other included items are a car charger, wall charger and usb cable. Furthermore, the lamp has a safety light on the back.

Additionally, I like the nice round green power switch to not leave you fumbling around trying to figure out how to turn it off. The ultra bright LED is zoomable and concentrated through a convex mirror. Overall, a good headlamp with a lot of nice features.
